United Nations Statements on Indigenous People
On September 13, 2007, the CBC published an article on Canada's opposition and "no" vote to the passing United Nations declaration of on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The article states that "In his address to the General Assembly before the vote, Canada's UN ambassador, John McNee, said Canada had "significant concerns" over the declaration's wording."
