raissa Raissa Marks, Executive Director

Raissa Marks has been with the NBEN since 2006. She grew up in Albert County, New Brunswick. After high school, she was away from the province for about 10 years, living, learning, and working in Montreal, Toronto, and Virginia. Raissa now lives in  Riverview with her husband, Chris, and their two daughters. Little-known fact: Raissa also worked for the NBEN as a summer student in 1998 and 1999!

 Mary Ann Coleman, Program Specialist

Mary Ann has been a lifelong advocate of environmental awareness and stewardship and was instrumental in launching the New Brunswick Environmental Network in 1991. Under her leadership, the network has developed into the fourth largest provincial environmental network in Canada. During the summer of 2001, she bicycled across Canada as a member of the Climate Change Caravan. Mary Ann is the 1999 recipient of the Milton F. Gregg Conservation Award, presented by the Conservation Council of New Brunswick.


 

mp vietnam Marie-Pierre Poirier, Programs Coordinator

Marie-Pierre grew up in Grande-Digue, NB, and she has been with the NBEN since 2014. She brings academic and work experiences from Ottawa, Guyana, France, and Vietnam in capacity building and climate change adaptation along with a passion for local environmental issues here in the province.

Pascale grew up in Fredericton, NB, and has a degree in Biology from the University of New Brunswick. She has been present in the province’s environmental  movement since 2008, when she was a participant of the Youth Environmental Action Network for three years through her high school environmental committee.  Since then, Pascale has been involved with university groups and worked at the Conservation Council of New Brunswick. This experience and her passion for local  food, youth involvement and provincial environmental issues make her a great addition to the team.

 Christine Landry, Programs Coordinator

Christine joined the team in January 2016. Originally from Bathurst and a graduate from l'Université de Moncton, she is very happy to be back in Moncton after living in Montreal for more than ten years. She acquired professional work experience as a project development director for a social enterprise in the environmental field and is proud to bring this experience to the NB Environmental Network.
